UAF Mental Health First Aid training

UAF Student Health and Counseling Center is offering Mental Health First Aid training. In this training, participants learn how to identify, understand, and respond to emerging, worsening, and crisis-level signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges among adult populations.

Two training options are available this semester:

  • Virtual training via Zoom will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • In-person training on the Troth Yeddah campus at the BP Design Theater, on Friday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The virtual training costs $25 per participant. The in-person training costs $35 per participant and includes breakfast refreshments.
