UAF expands space utilization program following successful pilot
March 6, 2026
Following a successful 90-day pilot program this past fall, UAF Space Planning is expanding its partnership with Lambent Spaces to 17 buildings across campus. The pilot, conducted in the Arctic Health Â鶹¹ÙÍø Building, Duckering and Elvey, allowed Facilities Services to realize significant savings and operational efficiencies through data-driven insights.
The system will continue to use existing Wi-Fi access points to anonymously estimate occupancy. No personally identifiable information is collected. This year-long expansion will provide high-level usage trends to further inform future planning and ensure a more efficient, sustainable campus environment for the UAF community.
