Pinneta receives Holmberg Education Scholarship
Douglas Cost, dean of the UAF School of Education, congratulates Bair Pinneta, recipient of the 2025 Steve and Cynthia Holmberg Education Endowed Scholarship.
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Fairbanks School of Education has selected Elianna "Bair" Pinneta as the recipient of the 2025 Steve and Cynthia Holmberg Education Endowed Scholarship. The award provides $5,000 to support tuition and other educational expenses and will aid Pinneta in pursuing her degree in elementary education.
Pinneta, of Anchorage, was selected for her steadfast academic commitment and consistent engagement in both classroom activities and School of Education events, exemplifying the qualities of a devoted future educator and community leader. Her passion for elementary education exemplifies the values of excellence and service that the Holmberg Scholarship seeks to promote. As she continues her studies at UAF, Pinneta’s work promises to make a lasting impact in Alaska’s classrooms.
The scholarship was established through the generous contributions of Steve and Cynthia Holmberg, long-time supporters of education in Alaska. The endowment reflects their belief in the transformative power of education and their commitment to nurturing talented individuals who will shape the future of Alaska’s schools.
