Brinkman named Faculty Fellow for Â鶹¹ÙÍø

Todd Brinkman has been appointed as Faculty Fellow for Â鶹¹ÙÍø in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In this role, Brinkman will split his time between faculty duties and directing the UAF Animal Resources Center, which includes co-administering the Large Animal Â鶹¹ÙÍø Station (LARS) and the Biological Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Diagnostics Facility (BiRD) alongside newly appointed Attending Veterinarian Nina Hansen.
Brinkman is currently a professor of Wildlife Ecology, with a joint appointment in the Institute of Arctic Biology and the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. He earned his Ph.D. in 2009 from UAF. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at UAF, Brinkman transitioned into a faculty position at UAF in 2011. Brinkman's professional career has focused on large mammal ecology and the human dimensions of wildlife science, which aligns well with his new role.
