Study Away Coffee Hour:
(Almost) every Tuesday from 1-2 pm
Arctic Java (the cafe in the Wood Center)
Attend to learn more about Study Away in an informal setting and meet other past, present, future, and prospective participants. All are welcome, from students just starting to think about studying away to faculty who studied away years ago.
Fall 2025 coffee hours will begin on August 26th and continue throughout the semester.
2025 Study Away Fair:
Tuesday, October 28th, from 1-5 pm
Wood Center Mall
The Study Away Fair is the best place to learn about lots of study away opportunities and resources all in one place! Representatives from our affiliated study abroad program providers, staff from UAF departments, and students who have studied away before will be available to tell you about your options and answer your questions. There will also be interactive activities and prizes!
National Student Exchange Info Sessions:
Interested in exchange within the U.S.? Attend a to learn more about the program, or attend a presentation to learn more about campuses in different regions.
Schedule an appointment
You can schedule an in-person, video conference or phone appointment to discuss program selection and next steps.
We recommend, if possible, to schedule your first appointment with a Peer Advisor, who can explain the process, help you look at programs, and answer general questions. Use the button on the right to see which Peer Advisor might be the best fit, based on where you want to go, major, or other factors. After meeting with a Peer Advisor, you can schedule a follow-up appointment with the Study Away Coordinator to check in about academic planning, your chosen program(s), and your individual situation.
