The next monthly Alaska Small Nuclear Energy Working Group meeting will feature guest speakers Mary Woollen, Christian Rabiti and Taylor Stevenson from .

USNC, based in Seattle, Washington, designed a nuclear energy system that can deliver
                           heat and 5 megawatts of safe, clean and cost-effective electricity to remote mines,
                           industries and communities. The company’s “micromodular reactor” may have several
                           applications in Alaska. In partnership with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and Ontario
                           Power Generation, the micromodular reactor will be demonstrated at the Chalk River
                           site in Canada and will begin producing power in 2026.
